ܘܗܘܐ ܠܫܢܬܐ ܐܚܪܬܐ ܠܙܒܢܐ ܕܡܦܩܢܐ ܕܡܠܟ̈ܐ ܘܟܢܫ ܝܘܐܒ ܚܝܠܘ̈ܬܐ ܘܐܬܐ ܘܫܪܐ ܥܠ ܐܪܥܐ ܕܒ̈ܢܝ ܥܡܘܢ ܘܐܚܕ ܒܗ̇ ܘܫܪܐ ܥܠ ܪܒܬ ܡܕܝܢܬܗܘܢ ܪܒܬܐ ܘܕܘܝܕ ܝܬ̇ܒ ܗܘܐ ܒܐܘܪܫܠܡ ܘܐܚܕ ܝܘܐܒ ܠܪܒܬ ܡܕܝܢܬܗܘܢ ܘܥܩܪܗ̇

David took the crown of their king from off his head, and found it to weigh a talent of gold, and there were precious stones in it. It was set on David’s head, and he brought very much plunder out of the city.

ܘܥܡܐ ܕܐܝܬ ܗܘܐ ܒܗ̇ ܐܦܩ ܐܢܘܢ ܘܐܣܪ ܐܢܘܢ ܒܫ̈ܫܠܬܐ ܘܒܩܘܠܪ̈ܐ ܕܦܪܙܠܐ ܘܒܩܘ̈ܦܠܐ ܘܒܨܡ̈ܬܐ ܘܐܣܪ ܐܢܘܢ ܠܟܠܗܘܢ ܘܗܟܢܐ ܥܒܕ ܠܟܠܗܘܢ ܒܢ̈ܝܢܫܐ ܕܐܫܬܟܚܘ ܒܩܘܪ̈ܝܐ ܕܒ̈ܢܝ ܥܡܘܢ ܘܠܐ ܩܛܠ ܐܢܫ ܡܢܗܘܢ ܘܐܙܠ ܘܐܘܬܒ ܐܢܘܢ ܒܩܘܪ̈ܝܐ ܕܐܪܥܐ ܕܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܘܗܦܟ ܕܘܝܕ ܘܟܠ ܕܥܡܗ ܠܐܘܪܫܠܡ

He brought out the people who were in it, and had them cut with saws, with iron picks, and with axes. David did so to all the cities of the children of Ammon. Then David and all the people returned to Jerusalem.

ܘܡܢ ܒܬܪ ܗܠܝܢ ܗܘܐ ܬܘܒ ܩܪܒܐ ܒܥܐܙܐ ܥܡ ܦܠܫ̈ܬܝܐ ܗܝܕܝܢ ܩܛܠ ܣܒܟܝ ܕܡܢ ܚܫܡܬ ܠܣܘܦܝ ܕܡܢ ܒܢ̈ܝܐ ܕܓܕܦܐ ܡܚܣܕܢܝܬܐ
mkhsdnyth' dgdp' bny' dmn lswpy khshmth dmn sbky qTl hydyn plshthy' em be'z' qrb' thwb hw' hlyn bthr wmn
After this, war arose at Gezer with the Philistines. Then Sibbecai the Hushathite killed Sippai, of the sons of the giant; and they were subdued.

ܕܗܘܐ ܐܚܘܗܝ ܕܓܘܠܝܕ ܓܢܒܪܐ ܕܡܢ ܓܬ ܘܫܢܢܐ ܕܢܝܙܟܗ ܥܒܐ ܗܘܐ ܐܝܟ ܢܘܠܐ ܕܓܪ̈ܕܝܝܐ
dgrdyy' nwl' 'yk hw' eb' dnyzkh wshnn' gth dmn gnbr' dgwlyd 'khwhy dhw'
Again there was war with the Philistines; and Elhanan the son of Jair killed Lahmi the brother of Goliath the Gittite, the staff of whose spear was like a weaver’s beam.

ܘܗܘܐ ܬܘܒ ܩܪܒܐ ܒܓܬ ܘܗܘܐ ܬܡܢ ܓܒܪܐ ܚܕ ܓܢܒܪܐ ܕܡܫܘܚܬܐ ܘܨܒ̈ܥܬܐ ܕܐܝܕ̈ܘܗܝ ܘܕܪ̈ܓܠܘܗܝ ܫܬ ܫܬ ܥܣܪܝܢ ܘܐܪܒܥ ܒܡܢܝܢܐ ܘܐܦ ܗܘ ܐܬܝܠܕ ܠܡܚܣܕܢܘܬܐ

There was again war at Gath, where there was a man of great stature, who had twenty-four fingers and toes, six on each hand and six on each foot; and he also was born to the giant.

ܘܡܚܣܕ ܗܘܐ ܠܐܝܣܪܐܝܠ ܘܩܛܠܗ ܝܘܢܬܢ ܒܪ ܫܡܐ ܐܚܘܗܝ ܕܕܘܝܕ
